by Rachael Carman God’s provision is such a wonderful, amazing thing! He provides for us whether we deserve it or not, whether we appreciate it or not, and even whether we know it or not! Grateful for gratitude I don’t know about you, but I really like it when I give my children gifts and … Continue reading Gratitude & God’s Provision
For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. -1 Timothy 6:7-8 Godliness with contentment is great wealth! (see 1 Tim. 6:6) So what does it take for us to be content? Paul reminds Timothy that … Continue reading For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.
Historically, special estates are given names. For example:
- Sadis House (Great Expectations, Charles Dickens)
- Grey Gardens (Long Island home of the Bouvier Beales)
- The White House (Home of the United States President)
Much like a boat or a child, naming something makes it unique and set apart. Now that I’ve officially been a homeowner for two months (yay!), I want to name my house.
I woke up wondering what I could call this humble abode. This place that saved me from an single room apartment on the wrong side of town.
As I was researching ideas to revamp old patio furniture and upcycle items, it came to me. My home is where I:
- Gave up the life I had before to follow Christ.
- Brought my daughter after she was born in the hospital.
- Started Real as the Streets Blog.
- Was sought out by members of my current, permanent Church.

Lord I Lift Your Name On High is a song by MercyMe that appears on their album Traces of Rain, Volume 1 which was released on 1996.
This song is a cycle of redemption and it was compared with the water cycle. We should know that God is our Creator. He is our Lord God and as a result we should thank and praise His name on high.
We must praise Him for His unending mercy. Our salvation is from God and He gave many spiritual blessing to us. As a response we must praise His glory. As a Human being we should give Him a truly praise that He deserves. Our Lord is so Good. God is love.
Lord I lift Your name on high
Lord I love to sing Your praises
I’m so glad You’re in my life
I’m so glad You came to save us

My eyes I lift to the Maker of heaven and earth
My focus on his forgiveness and goodness births
A new altitude and attitude with greater gratitude
There is no place for depression, moods or platitudes
I lift my eyes out of the mundane and routine
No greater love, mercy and grace ever seen
The horizon clouds of despair, gloom and doom
Disappear in the presence of our Bridegroom
Lifting my eyes and behold his radiant beauty
His glory surrounds and clothes me like rubies
My uplifted vision has changed my position
As I give him all my worship and recognition

I’m ready for Eternity.
I’m happy, that I’m alive, but I’m dreaming about Eternal Life.
Well, I’m dreaming about White Christmas too… Many of’em… 🙂 …

1 CORINTHIANS 2:9
All we have to do is love and believe.
I believe that God is awesome loving God, not angry one like in those old paintings… 🙂 .
If you want to be happy in this life, you have to get rid of the fear of death.
Weeks, days are passing faster and faster.
Instead of fear that my time is running out, I’m thinking that every passing day is bringing me closer to Eternity.
I’m prepared to go there…
