Final Greetings… and Questions

TLP

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

2Thessalonians 3:16-18

As was customary, Paul wraps up the second letter to the Thessalonian church with final greetings. In this case, there is a final hope/prayer in verse 16, authentication in verse 17, and a closing in verse 18.

First, Paul expresses his wish that God will grant to his recipients peace in the midst of their persecution. If you think about it, peace is almost the opposite of what they are going through at this time, and this wish expressed by Paul reminds us that even in the most…

Which One Comes From You?

josephsdailywalkwithjesus

And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance;  and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation]. Romans 5:3-4 Holy Bible Amplified Version

When Jehovah assigns as difficult task for you to do are you obstinate, stomp your feet and say I refuse like a spoiled little brat? Even though He reasons with you with His Word, Christian Councilors and signs.

Or, if He directs you to stop doing something do you obstinacy refuse?

Beware.

Jehovah only does what is for your good. So, if you refuse to listen to Him, you will pay greatly in the long run.

I have seen many obstinate folks refuse to listen and slowly sink deeper and deeper into a living Hell.

FIGHTING AGAINST THE LORD: Churches That Oppose New Covenant Truth

Real Christianity

Blog Pic 555

The anointed prophetic Word is designed by God to get His people on track and correct them when they get off track. This is why many Christians reject it.

.

THEY REMAIN HATED TODAY

OT Prophets paid a great personal price to be the spokesmen for God. Without their work the forces of evil had no opposition and ran roughshod over the Lord’s people. One wonders why it even mattered in part because the great majority of “the Lord’s people” had no real care or concern for the Lord’s purposes anyway and always segued into their desired natural condition regardless of the effort to help them. They loved living in the flesh, so to speak. This in turn caused them to embrace demonic entities.

Along came the prophet, sent by God, to correct their behavior, in the attempt to save them from sin and eventual eternal death…

Public Worship

from Brian Croft Modern technology provides many benefits. Information can be exchanged at an unprecedented rate. The level of productivity can be astounding. Face-to-face conversations can be had with people halfway around the world. But there are also dark sides to this technology. We as Christians are very aware of the many common snares of … Continue reading Public Worship

RACE TO THE EGG

Real Christianity

Every one of you reading this is the result of a single WINNING race contestant who let nothing stop him from achieving his one and only goal: Being first to reach the egg!

.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. [1Corinthians 9:24]

In traditional churches this is represented as winning the contest to become the one who controls everything at the very top—becoming the one who commands the bridge and inhabits the one and only pulpit, while everyone else sits back in silence giving full credit and obedience to the worthy one who won the summit.

This, of course, is a complete reversal of that which the Lord Jesus created. Rather than all the spoils going to a single man at the top…

How can I prevent my personal Christian growth from becoming stagnant?

There’s only one absolute way I know of to keep your Christian growth from becoming stagnant, and that is to die. The only time Christian growth stops altogether is at death. That’s because we don’t need to grow any further; we’re ushered into the state of glorification. If a person is in Christ and Christ … Continue reading How can I prevent my personal Christian growth from becoming stagnant?

The Vision of Dry Bones

StopAndPrayTV

So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Ezekiel 37:7

Ezekiel’s vision of the Valley of Dry Bones is a dramatic picture of the restoration of the nation of Israel, and it’s one of the most important prophetic chapters in the Bible. But behind the prophecy is a biblical reality. God can resurrect the body—perfectly, completely, and supernaturally.

In this vision, Ezekiel was carried to a great valley littered with dry bones, baked white by the sun. As he watched, the bones began to reassemble themselves into complete skeletons, and then bodies appeared around them with sinews and flesh and skin. Breath entered them, and they stood up, alive, a mighty living army.

Though the application of the vision involves the restoration of the nation of Israel, there’s reality behind the…

The Twelve Move Out

TLP

Luke 9:1-9

As Chapter 9 begins, the scene changes and Jesus sends out the twelve disciples to proclaim the Kingdom. In doing so, he gave them some unusual instructions:

“Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt.  Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town. If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” (9:3-5)

Nobody sets off on a road trip like that, at least not by design. Jesus sent these guys out there with nothing; no provision, no supplies, not even a change of clothes. We might be tempted to criticize His lack of planning and organization…

If we did so, we would be acting in haste, for actually there was a plan, a very counter-intuitive one. The disciples were to head out…

A Serpent is Lifted Up

TLP

Numbers 21:4-9

In this section, the Israelites are going the long way around Edom, which they will not cross because the Edomites, who are the descendants of Esau, are hostile to them. This is a very harsh desert region that even now, is inhabited by several varieties of venomous snakes. As they people mover through the region, they began to gripe and complain about the conditions; they spoke harshly against both Moses (“type” of Christ) and God Himself. God, hearing their mutinous talk, sent them a plague of snakes that left many with very painful and often fatal wounds. (vv. 4-6)

Before long, the people began to repent of their rebellion and sought out intercession from Moses, who prayed to God for deliverance. God gave Moses an odd instruction: make an image of a snake, attach it to a pole and hold it up for people to see. If they…
