A lot of the debate over divorce has to do with the way we interpret and handle Jesus’ teaching on the subject. In Matthew’s Gospel, for example, the Pharisees come to Jesus for a decision and they are trying to trick him into speaking against the law of Moses. They ask, “Is it lawful to … Continue reading Are there any biblical grounds for divorce, and if so, what are they?

Dear Kathy Griffin…
Being a millennial New Yorker and actor, I’d like to think I’ve got pretty thick skin.
Getting rejected is par for the course in the entertainment industry. The city doesn’t do you any favors — just try battling the check out lines at Whole Foods at 3pm on a Sunday. Heck, even the squirrels seems to have a certain undeniable hutzpah on these streets.
Really, nothing quite comes as a shock to me anymore, for better or for worse.
However.
Earlier this week, opening up my Buzzfeed app to find Kathy Griffin’s infamous photo of her, carrying the bloodied head of a decapitated President Donald Trump…I literally stopped in my tracks.
Just. No.
And I have a few words.
This is not okay. I don’t care how much you hate the President or his policies, that went. too far.
It’s no secret that Donald Trump is one of –…

Today’s Truth
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. … Continue reading Today’s Truth
Going piano.
I was rushing all my life.
But now the pain in my joints is forcing me to slow down.
And I like it.
Not a pain but slowing down. 🙂
Going slow I’m avoiding tripping, falling down and breaking my old aching bones.
And I have time to think where I’m going, why I’m going there and what I will do when I get there. 🙂
Sure, I can hurry up if there is emergency.
Than I will forget the pain and I will do whatever have to be done under the circumstances.
This old Italian Proverb explains why going slow is better:
Chi va piano
Va sano
Va lontano
Means: He who go slowly
Goes healthy
And goes far
So slow down if you want to go sano and go lontano. 🙂
And someone Anonymous said:
Slow down happiness is trying to catch you.
Thank you for visiting.

At the heart of Youth
“A woman’s heart should be so hidden in God that a man has to seek Him
– just to find her.”
– Max Lucado
I love this quote! Because nothing could be more true – and yet, not much is further from the truth when asking the youth of today.
According to an article on Christianitytoday.com, the top ten fears of the youth today has the #10 fear as “I will never have a happy marriage”… ???…
That’s not the Lord speaking, but the devil speaking into the hearts of our youth today.
Girls & Boys: You are valuable! You deserve love! You are worth dying for!
You don’t believe me?
Then look at the compassion in God’s eyes:
He hung on the cross – so you wouldn’t have to.
You are infinitely loved by a God Who will never abandon His own!
With God nothing is impossible. Marriage? With Jesus in the…

True Integrity
Someone may have driven over our moral compass. If it isn’t broken – it is lost.
What is true integrity? How relevant is it in today’s society? What does it look like?
All important questions. Integrity is something I believe is so important, especially being a Christian, as Jesus had a lot to say and do about it. But more about him later.
- “The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles”
- “The state of being whole and un-divided”
In the world today, as a general rule, I believe integrity is somewhat lost. This isn’t different to many other societies before us, however, is still an issue in my opinion. Australia has had something like four prime ministers in the last five years (don’t quote me on that). Failure to fulfil definite promises, although not a new concept, is something we expect in the leaders of our countries. Let…

Beliefs – Why do people differ so much?
Im ashamed to die until i have won some victory for humanity.
We seem to be surrounded by so much tension and conflict in the world today. With all the prejudice, discrimination and violence associated with strongly held beliefs, it would be nice to work out why people disagree so much. So what causes us to each believe certain things and be sniffy about opposing ideas?
I imagine we pickup ideas from all around us. Beliefs that have seeped through from current and past thinking in politics, philosophy, religion and so on. I’m sure I am influenced by my family upbringing, the traditions of my culture, the mass media and books I watch and read, what my teachers told me, and what newspapers I choose to read.
In a multicultural society where a pluralistic mentality has influenced our individual consciousness, it is quite difficult if not impossible to disentangle the effects of all these factors.

To the Girl Who Wished She Hadn’t
by Lindsey Maestas One morning in college, I woke up, got ready and drove to a church to buy myself a purity ring. My heart ached a little bit at the thought of it, because even at that time, the last word that I would have used to define myself was “pure.” Maybe regretful, ashamed, dirty, totally … Continue reading To the Girl Who Wished She Hadn’t
Mom of comedy star Kevin Hart used brilliant strategy to get him to read the Bible
By Jordan Sheppard Kevin Hart’s mother was going to help him with rent to kick-start his comedy career, but when the due date passed he called his mom, and all she could say was: “Have you been reading your Bible?” A week later it was the same thing: “When you read your bible, then we’ll … Continue reading Mom of comedy star Kevin Hart used brilliant strategy to get him to read the Bible
