Tannie Susann Chalmers se getuienisse (English / Afrikaans)

One morning I was on my way to Cape Town. The Holy Spirit said to me: “Fill a 5 litre bottle with water and take it with.” I normally have water in the car or bakke but I am obedient and put another one in.

At first I stop for 3 guys walking miles away on the long road. They jump in and show me through the window, asking if they can drink water. I node my head and I saw them enjoying the water. When they got out they said to me they were praying for a lift and water, God has send the Angel with both.

Not to far from there I saw a van on the side of the road with an open bonet. I stop to offer them my assistance. They said: “Have you perhaps got any water at hand.” I said: “Yes, look in the back there is a 5 litre bottle.”

The man said: “Now I believe God has answered my prayer.”

One Christmas season, I was still operating in Somerset West.

I drove to meet with the family at the beach house for the season. I filled the bakkie with fuel before I took-off.

As I taxi all people along the way from Somerset West to Kleinmond;

It is stop and go, which normally consume lots of fuel.

When I arrived at the gate of the house my eye catches the fuel gauge.

And I notice it is still the same as where I left at the garage. I thought it must be out of order? The very moment the Holy Spirit replied: “No it was running on My Power because you care for My people.”

My bakkie has a huge sign on the back window, “PSALM 41“

Many people come to say: “Thank you, for the lift, God walk with you.”

Or “God’s Angels drive with you. We shall pray for you.“

Mense vra my of sy nog lewe? Ja, diep in die tagtig. Sy bestuur haar eie voertuig en is so op en wakker soos tien! Sy onderhandel selfs met die regering. Aardse besittings beteken vir haar niks.

Psalm 41

(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

3 The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

4 I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

5 Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

6 And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

7 All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

8 An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

10 But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

13 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

Psalm 41

5 Ék het gesê: o Here, wees my genadig! Genees my, want ek het teen U gesondig.

6 My vyande spreek kwaad van my en sê: Wanneer sal hy sterwe en sy naam vergaan?

7 En as iemand kom om my te sien, dan praat hy leuens; sy hart vergader boosheid vir hom; gaan hy uit na buite, dan spreek hy daarvan.

8 Al my haters tesame fluister onder mekaar teen my; teen my bedink hulle my onheil en sê:

9 Iets skandeliks is op hom uitgestort; en nou dat hy lê, sal hy nie weer opstaan nie.

10 Selfs die man wat met my in vrede lewe, op wie ek vertrou het, wat my brood eet, het die hakskeen teen my opgelig.

11 Maar U, o Here, wees my genadig en rig my op, dat ek hulle dit kan vergelde!

12 Hieraan weet ek dat U ‘n welbehae in my het: dat my vyand oor my nie juig nie.

13 My tog, in my opregtheid ondersteun U my, en stel my voor u aangesig tot in ewigheid.

14 Geloofd sy die Here, die God van Israel, van ewigheid tot in ewigheid! Amen, ja amen.
