“It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.” 1Revelation 13:8
The Apostle Paul in the second chapter of 2 Thessalonians reveals an event within the Biblical time frame that stops all hope of one being able to repent and turn to Christ after it has been set into motion! I say this as a serious warning! Our time is running out to point people to Jesus. When the abomination of desolation happens revealed to Daniel.2 They will be unable to hear us anymore. The desolation describes the events of the Antichrist in the middle of the seven year period known as the Great Tribulation.
I. Those not in Christ, will be Deceived!
“Now we request you, brethren, (those in Christ) with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.“ 32 Thessalonians 2:1-2
So we are not to allow ourselves to be shaken or disturb by:
a. A spirit, meaning either a human, or possibly a demon.
b. A message, meaning a word spoken on the subject
c. A letter, meaning a sermon, book, or notes taken and given to you.
Brothers and sisters those not in Christ will not know the signs Christ clearly told His disciples would happen before He would come back! 4 There is hope now for them, but when the abomination has happened all hope will be gone. Honestly, I will admit here that before or after for the saint close to Christ, it will be what it will be! However for the rest of the world it will be being forced to worship the Anti-Christ and live in an eternal Lake of fire forever!
II. They will Believe the Anti–Christ is God!
“Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, (the Antichrist) who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.” 5
The Antichrist will come before Christ does. Scripture warns He will even overcome those in Christ! Christ will not return until after His cheap imitator, the Antichrist is revealed as Paul warns us. It’s the clear warning that bursts out from within my spirit. Those not in Christ will believe the Anti-Christ is God! Now is the time to ask Father what His will for our day to day life is. Let us walk by the Spirit listening and following His directions.
III. The Antichrist will do Great Miracles and Signs, Deceiving them.
“… that is, the one (The Anti-Christ) whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 6Revelation 13: 7-9
IV. They will Worship him as though he is God.
“It was also given to him (The Anti-Christ) to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. 6Revelation 13: 7-9
Scripture says the Anti-Christ will overcome the saints! He will do great miracles and the unconverted will also fall down before him and worship him as though he was truly God.
V. A Deluding Influence will Force those not in Christ to Believe the Antichrist.
For this reason God will send upon them (all those not in Christ) a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.” 72 Thessalonians 2:11-12
A deluding influence will be put on all who do not come to Christ in repentance, through faith at that time! The season of mercy and forgiveness through Christ Jesus will be over. No one will be able to go to Christ any longer for salvation! NO, there will be no more hope. All that will be left is judgment, for those who failed to repent and desperately cling to Christ death and resurrection as their only hope. Christ lives within us brethren. Christ wants the world to see Himself through us. We should have a holy desire to humble ourselves and seek Gods face for His direction and empowering at this time. In all things God’s will be done on Earth as it is already done in Heaven.
In closing I echo the encouragement of Marks gospel to the Roman gentile Christians long ago. for in it Christ said, “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven. 8
