Jeremiah 9:4-6 (New International Version, ©2010) 4 “Beware of your friends; do not trust anyone in your clan. For every one of them is a deceiver,[a] and every friend a slanderer. 5 Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning. 6 You live … Continue reading Sin….In a Postmodern World

– just to find her.”
– Max Lucado
I love this quote! Because nothing could be more true – and yet, not much is further from the truth when asking the youth of today.
According to an article on Christianitytoday.com, the top ten fears of the youth today has the #10 fear as “I will never have a happy marriage”… ???…
That’s not the Lord speaking, but the devil speaking into the hearts of our youth today.
Girls & Boys: You are valuable! You deserve love! You are worth dying for!
You don’t believe me?
Then look at the compassion in God’s eyes:

The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost. — What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God? — It is God which worketh in you.
We know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which can not be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
He knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. — A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench.

Someone else always gets there ahead of me.” (John 5:5-7)
Relate: Every now and then a horrible book makes an amazing point. About a year and a half back, I purchased one of those “chicken soup” type books off the clearance rack at Barnes and Noble for a couple bucks. Once or twice a day I would endure another one of the short “you can make a great life for yourself if you only think positively” type articles. There was…

My brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, … Continue reading My brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Once upon a time, there are four shining candles in a room. They are red, green, blue, and white candle. As time goes by, they are slowly begun to melt down. In the quiet night, was heard their talks.
The white candle said, “I am a peace. But unfortunately more and more people are not able to keep me even longer to appreciate the meaning of Peace. Therefore, I’d better just turn myself off” So little by little the blue candle goes out.
The green candle then said, “I am faith. But like the white candle, I also have the same fate. This time, there are many people don’t have faith anymore. Though they claim to have me, but sadly they place me at the bottommost of their lives. Not infrequently they sacrifice me solely for their own interests. It’s useless for me to keep light up. I will follow…
